New Yellow-Blue Fence Beautifies TangCity Pedestrian Lane

Cikokol, Tangerang City — September 14, 2025. The pedestrian area in front of TangCity Mall, Cikokol, has recently undergone a noticeable improvement. The section that was once only divided by concrete barriers is now lined with new yellow-and-blue metal fences. The upgrade not only gives the area a cleaner and more organized look but also enhances safety for both pedestrians and drivers.

The project was carried out by the Tangerang City Government as part of its effort to improve traffic discipline and pedestrian safety in the downtown area. Previously, the open section between concrete dividers often tempted people to cross the busy road illegally. Now, with the newly installed fences, pedestrians are directed to use the nearby pedestrian bridge (JPO) provided for safer crossings.

The installation took place in early September 2025 and was completed within a day. Workers installed the bright-colored metal fences along the road median, replacing the old plain barriers. The vivid yellow and blue colors make the area stand out while serving as a reminder for pedestrians to avoid unsafe crossings. Many residents appreciated the change, saying the new design makes the area appear more organized.

One motorist, Rizky, expressed his appreciation for the improvement. “It’s much safer and tidier now. Before, people used to cross anywhere, even between moving vehicles. The fence helps keep everything more organized,” he said when interviewed near the location. He also hopes that the fence will be properly maintained to ensure its function and appearance last long.

The fence installation was carried out along the main road in front of TangCity Mall, one of the busiest traffic spots in Cikokol, Tangerang City. The area is known for heavy traffic, especially during weekends and rush hours. With the new fences in place, vehicles can now move more smoothly without being disrupted by pedestrians cutting across the road.

This initiative is part of the Tangerang City Government’s ongoing effort to create a safer, cleaner, and more pedestrian-friendly urban environment. The new yellow-blue fences not only improve traffic safety but also beautify the face of Tangerang’s ever-developing city center.
